I get the following when I start either the animeditor or the map editor…
Description:
Stopped working
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: xna animeditor.exe
Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.0
Problem Signature 03: 4960f7a2
Problem Signature 04: XNA AnimEditor
Problem Signature 05: 1.0.0.0
Problem Signature 06: 4960f7a2
Problem Signature 07: 128
Problem Signature 08: 10
Problem Signature 09: System.IO.FileNotFoundException
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033
Sorry to keep pestering… but when I debugged the error it says it’s missing the following:
“Could not load file or assembly ‘Microsoft.Xna.Framework, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6d5c3888ef60e27d’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.”
I’ve been doing some digging and it looks like you might try doing a build with your target set 64 bit. If you wouldn’t mind creating a 64 bit specific build, I would be more than willing to try it.
I currently don’t have a 64-bit system around here, I’m planning to buy a new computer for 64-bit development but right now there isn’t much that I can do

Wow there are lots of vista64 guys around here.
Honestly I have no clue why this isnt working on 64bits as the WoW should be kicking in whenever a 32bit application is launched.
By looking into your error message I can guess that you are missing some required components
make sure that you have the xna redistributable installed and the .net framework 3.5
Ill try to build a 64bit box soon but until then I cant do much bout it

Thanks for the reply. I verified that I have both the framework and redist installed.

Well. I made the exe run as Windows XP SP 2 compatibility mode and as administrator. Works great 🙂

No problem. Just figured I would provide as much data as I could.
